No Treble - Copa Tejas Kickoff - The Future

The stars almost  aligned perfectly for Alamo City to roar back to prominence with a vengeance by claiming the treble.  It wasn't to be though as a scrappy Spartans club fought tooth and nail to advance to play in the Major's Cup Final.  Though the club went down swinging and showing why they managed to take home the Honors Trophy and BSL Cup, the loss still stings.  There's no time to wallow in misery of the missed chance to make even more history though as it is time for:

The Battle will lace up the boots against their sister club San Antonio FC this weekend.  There'll be on last chance at a trophy before the 2019 season wraps up.

Even though there's still goals to be had this year the club is already looking to the future by aggressively going after Christian Pavon and Brian Rodriguez in the transfer market.  There are only a certain number of slots that the Battle can keep for next year and acquiring these player rights is all about next season.  How will they play into the club's plans?  Who could the club be willing to part with in order to keep them on for 2020?  Going to be an interesting off-season.
