Alamo City Battle SC Is Born

Former Montgomery County Ownership Group Announces New Club
- San Antonio

Montgomery County FC owner and operator David unveiled the new look and new location for his Bigtime Soccer League franchise this morning. The Alamo City got the news as David and the rest of his ownership group made the announcement from the STAR Soccer Complex.

"This move has been a long time coming and finally, we're here. This was our ultimate goal. Myself and the rest of the ownership group are from Texas and for all of us San Antonio is a very nice central location. The choice to move here goes far beyond that though. The people of this great city are rabid sports fans, and more importantly, rabid soccer fans. The MLS made a rather large mistake in overlooking this city. Being from Texas we understand the sporting culture here and also understand just how big of a soccer city this is. Right here at the STAR Soccer Complex we'll build the permanent home for the Alamo City Battle Soccer Club."

Flanking team owner David was MLS and Montgomery County FC MVP David Ferreira. When making the formal introduction of Ferraira to the fans, David asked for a little help. Out walked Thierry Henry, and it was announced that Henry would join Ferreira as a DP in San Antonio. From there, David wrapped up the past.

"Make no mistake about it. This ownership group is not forgetting and not leaving behind our roots at Montgomery County. The same people building Alamo City SC are the ones that built Montgomery County. This franchise is the same one that holds the first ever BSL Cup Title. It is the same one that has built the reputation of being the hardest club to beat in the Bigtime Soccer League. We are the same franchise that has a Derby Match with Capital District, a grudge match with Gateway United, a strong rivalry with Union SC, and a rather big score to settle with Gold Coast FC.

Make absolutely not doubt about it. The foundation built by Montgomery County is what we will build Alamo City SC on. The history of MCFC will be enshrined right alongside the hardware that Alamo City SC collects. "

The attitude was clearly upbeat, and excited at the STAR Complex as Alamo City SC was formally unveiled to the soccer world. Bold statements, but nothing that you wouldn't expect from David. The formal announcement also included the unveiling of the club crest and the club's kits for the upcoming season. Notably, the alternate kit is an homage to MCFC and will be worn this year when Alamo City takes on Capital District.
