Match Day 3 - The Classic

It's always a good time when Alamo City and Capital District meet on the field.  With the Battle managing a little success against their BSL founding member rivals recently, what is usually a harsh dose of reality early in the season could prove to be a large momentum maker.  Coming off a very tough loss to Spartans the San Antonio club will be looking to keep the positivity of their hot start on track.

YET AGAIN the Battle found themselves up against the only club they didn't outscore for the week.  Yes, if Alamo would have been facing anyone other than Spartans this past weekend they'd have had a point and most likely all three.  That's a tale as old as the league for the Battle.  Even more frustrating is that the tying score was sitting in the reserves as the club wasn't made aware that Kenny Saief was going to be available for the weekend's match.  The silver lining is that the club is sitting second in the table, second in scoring, and can bring Capital District right back in the muck with everyone with a win.  The club did state in their press conference after the match that they are evaluating a handful of players and might be on the verge of making some early season moves.
