| Captain Vako's Hat Trick Leads Battle to Victory |
Alamo City got the 10th anniversary season of the BSL started on the right foot against long time rival Union SC. Handing the arm band to Vako looked like a stroke of genius as the returning Battle player put up a hat trick to open the season and secure the victory for Alamo City. The Battle hit the net an impressive 7 times (2nd in league behind bitter rival Capital District) with Blanco, Guzan, Manotas, and Alessandrini also getting on the score sheet. Not a bad effort considering the club only had 12 players eligible for the match (2 GK).
