"This We'll Defend"

4-1 Victory Ensures Successful Majors Cup Defense

The results typified the season that Alamo City has had.  The score line was provided by new player acquisitions.  In their search to field the best possible line up from top to bottom, the Battle scoured every corner of the player pool and every possible method to obtain these players.  Free agency, transfer wars, and even a trade all helped shape the Alamo City SC roster this season.  All three were highlighted in the Battle's successful defense of the Majors Cup.

Freshly signed Bright Dike opened the scoring to keep the match tied early on.  Will Johnson (acquired in a controversial trade that sent Daigo Kobayashi to Alliance FC) scored to put Alamo City up before Mauro Diaz (won in a transfer bid) sealed the victory with a goal and assist.

The season has come to a close but the business is just getting started for Alamo City.  The phone call has already been made to BSL HQ with the statement of intent for the club to return for next season.  Player evaluations, friendlies, and all sorts of goings on will carry the club through the off-season.  A season summary is due for fans of the club so keep watching the official site.
