Final Off Season Player Moves

     Manotas Named Retention Player

Alamo City has long been known for finding young gems and seeing them blossom while wearing the Battle colors.  It appears that they've done it again with Mauro Manotas.  Originally on their radar when he came to the league, the Battle saw rival Capital District get their paws on him first.  The pursuit didn't end as the Battle eventually bought Manotas from CD before releasing and then re-signing the wonder kid.  The dedication to the player paid off at the end of last season as Manotas' form started to match his potential.  Now he's been trusted to be the first choice striker for the orange MLS club ... and he's also being trusted by the BSL's big Texas club.

Diaz Named 3rd DP

Following form on the announcement of Manotas, the Alamo City Soccer Club has named Mauro Diaz as the club's final DP for the 2018 season.  The perfect example of the club's ability to find the young talent that turns to gold, Diaz has been a constant force in the league.  Yes, he's had injury issues but he still remains one of the best and most dynamic players in the BSL since his arrival.  He's fresh and healthy and there's no reason to believe he won't be the Mauro that fills the role of an Argentine #10 perfectly with his play.
